What is the weekly return you can expect from Forex

Many traders are drawn to the FX market when they see the bright promises that entice them to generate huge returns. Have you ever seen trading systems that can double your account balance within a week? Or will you get a 1000% return? Those who promote these systems claim that they will deliver the promised results because the Forex market allows leverage - which allows you to control money that is much more than your actual balance and thus allows you to make huge profits from these huge deals. Of course, they do not mention the fact that leverage can also cause heavy losses, and the degree to which your entire account is spent in one night and sometimes a few minutes or seconds.

The fact is that despite the availability of leverage in the Forex market, but most successful traders deal with them very carefully, and may not use it at all. The majority of traders using the leverage do not increase their investment in a single transaction from 2.5% to 5% of the account balance. Of course this is very small but achieves the desired security. The amount of profits you can earn over a given period depends on the number of transactions you will open during this period and how successful you are. If we talk realistically, successful Forex traders will be happy if they can achieve a return of 5% to 10% per month!

Does this mean that you can not make a larger return? No, of course, but it is meant to make your expectations realistic and be careful of distant delusions. You may earn 1000% a week, but it will only happen if you run out of luck at the gaming table - and after a week you will lose 1000% or more. Would you be happy if you got these huge returns in a week or two and then all the profits evaporated the following week, or would it be better to make small but stable profits until you finally reach the accumulation of revenue and increase the long-term balance? You can not build your life on irrational speculation, but you can earn enough income through continuous trading in the Forex market.

So how do you increase your profits without gambling? One way to do this is to open more trading centers. However, the quality of the deals you intend to do must not be waived, as it should be limited to those with the best prospects for success. In other words, the only way to increase deals is to follow more pairs of currencies or find more opportunities on the same pairs by looking at more rapid time frames. However, once again we recommend caution when trading fast time frames because it is a completely different environment. Previous evidence confirms that the profitability of novice traders is much better over slow time frames.

Forex trading requires a lot of patience, unless you have started with huge capital, so you should be happy with a monthly profit of between 5% and 10%. Remember that theoretically there may be exceptional growth in earnings at a given moment, but real and sustainable growth requires sustained long-term profits. Thus, a return of between 5% and 10% with patience and discipline will achieve what is desired in the long term. If you feel that you need to speed things up, you can increase your balance rather than compromise discipline.
